If I Were Running for President as an Independent...Here's What I'd Do

If I were an independent candidate for President (or a PAC), I'd need five things to win

1. A route to 270 electoral votes

I’d simulate three scenarios to get to 270 where I can come in 2nd or 3rd place in the popular vote but still win the electoral vote.

Dedicated ballot access team to ensure I get on the ballot

2. A real time voter database

Database with all eligible voters in country

Gather/purchase as much data as I can on each voter so I can better target ads to them.

I’d rank all voters from most likely to least likely to vote for my candidate. I’d run ads only to those most likely to vote for my candidate.

3. Relentless ad testing

A machine learning ad creation and ad buying framework to create and test 100k+ ads to find the ones that drive the most votes.

4. A winning campaign message

You need an undeniable winning message unique to you

5. A giant ad budget

It would take $1B-$2B to win even if you had everything above.
